Rainier was beautiful as ever. 6 mile hike in 4 hrs with 2000ft gain, though same as tiger at 7000ft elevation you can feel the difference. Flowers were in full bloom. This is our visit after 5 years, infra has improved a ton, lot of parking, with ample picnic tables and clean rest rooms. Sorry to see wild animals were fed overtime and they approach you in anticipation. Not dangerous but wild should be kept wild.

how much snow was left on the trail? I want to rake my husband up there but he has some balance issue and slippery snow doesnt help. Also didbyou drive up there early or were you already camping up there?

Snow levels
You will find at least 3 snow patches stretching closet to 100ft in length to reach panaroma point. We arrived there at 11ish.
