The hike to Stiletto Lake via Twisp Pass is one of our favorites, and conditions right now are excellent. The road to the campground is shut down, but the main Twisp Pass trailhead is now open. The out-and-back to the lake is 13 miles with 3,000 feet of elevation gain, but the grade throughout is gentle, making the miles fly by. Several sections are quite brushy, but not difficult to plow through. Huckleberries and thimbleberries are ripe along much of the trail, and wildflowers up top are still blooming. The lake is ice cold as usual, but spectacular. Definitely a gem!
