We got a late start today and arrived at the trailhead around 2:15 pm. The lot was full and we passed several groups on our way up. It is a steady incline all the way up, and a little over a mile and a half in, there are lots of tree roots and several larger rocks to climb over. Having rained in the morning, it was a little slippery but still manageable. We made our way to and around the lake, encountering lots of ripe berries and several flowers that were still in bloom. The fog cleared up a bit, and the view from the lake was beautiful.
** Unfortunately, most groups were not wearing masks, and there were several bags of dog poop on the side of the trail.
