Took two boys (2.5 and 4.5 years) over to lower Anderson Lake. Road is bumpy at times and you need to zig-zag at times to avoid potholes/drainage tracks but all type of cars were doing it. Lots of folks out hiking, but never felt crowded. No snow to contend with and superb weather. Kids had good time jumping over the rocks and roots on this trail. Too early for berries but lots of alpine flora in the meadows. Just had time to get down to Anderson lake for quick dip. Great campsites with views of Baker from there - would be great spot for first overnight backpack.
