I did the hike from the trailhead near high rock (Teely Creek Trail)- definitely a bit more elevation gain, but worth it for the view you get of Rainier over the lake on the way. The directions on here take you to the high rock parking area, but there is space for a few cars at the trailhead for this hike, about a half a mile before the high rock area. Encountered several people who thought they were hiking to high rock on this trail. Bugs were an annoyance, but the rest of the day was great! Also it was worth it to wander down the Big Creek Trail to see the falls!
