High Ridge Trail, Sunrise Point Trail & Klahhane Ridge — Tuesday, Sep. 1, 2020

Olympic Peninsula > Northern Coast
Trail sign at Victor Pass

Set out for a weekday day hike from Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center to Victor Pass and back. Parking was easy to find at around 9:30. Plenty of people around the paved trails, once on the Sunrise Ridge trail, I encountered probably 20-ish hikers. It is sometimes hard to pass/let hikers pass on the trail, especially at the narrow exposed sections. Pretty much everyone was good about wearing masks.

There is a part of the trail near the hill within the first mile that is not very clear, as there is an animal trail or some wort of vague path that branches off.  Once you reach this junction take the trail to the left. Late on at the junction with the Mount Angeles trail take the trail left to Klahhane Ridge (the junction has a sign with just "trail" written on it, somehow it was knocked down). Other than these two junctions, the trail was pretty easy to follow. Magnificent views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Dungeness Spit, and even Mt Baker from Victor Pass.
