We parked at the south trail-head of the Padilla Bay Shoreline Trail. It is a small lot, but we found a spot at about 11 am on a Saturday. There were some bikers and dog walkers out, but it was not too busy. The wide open trail makes it an easy choice for social distancing. We saw lots of herons, hawks, seagulls, and other small birds along the way. When we reached the north trailhead, we still wanted more, so we walked along the Bayview-Edison road for a bit (maybe just half a mile?) north to Bayview State Park. Here we hung out by the beach and explored a bit before walking back down the road, and south on the Padilla Bay trail again. Overall it was a great walk and a great day. There is a port-a-potty at the south trailhead, and privies at the State Park.
