Granite Mountain — Sunday, Sep. 6, 2020

Snoqualmie Region > Snoqualmie Pass

We got to the trailhead about 0830 the main lot was full but we quickly got a spot on the access road.

We brought a friend who wanted to do the hike, he was not nearly ready for this hike so round trip with breaks it took us over 8 hours.

Due to the length we also failed to bring enough water which left us at dehydration risk. My partner and I normally will finish a similar hike distance in about 5 hours. That sun was killer, the dust on the way back down didn't help either.

Most people had on masks, no one with bluetooth speakers, it was probably the most peaceful hike all season. The views were wonderful we could see Mt Baker to the North, to the South Mt Rainier, and you could make it Mt St Helens if you focused.

Some lessons were learned on this hike and look forward to doing it again next year, likely earlier in the season.
