Went up Northrup on 9/21 - Monday to try and take care of the flooding on the road near the start of the trail.
Low and behold I found a Culvert that none of us new about while trying to clear some brush and debris to alleviate some of the flooding.
Spent 3 hours total cleaning out both ends of the culvert as much as I could which is allowing the spring to flow under the road.
Told the boss what I had found and recommended a backhoe to completely clear out both ends of the Culvert.
For now its a good enough job that the mud and water should be completely dried up within a few days!
Happy Hiking!
