A beautiful hike to do in the Fall! This is a long but gradual incline to a beautiful spot. The road to the trailhead was not ideal but doable for any small SUV. It was warm and sunny on most of the trail, and only cold enough for a light jacket at the top (midday). The trail was in great condition, but our watches counted it at almost 14 miles roundtrip, so if you are doing it in one day like we did, start early. Only problem was that there were a lot of dirt bikes in the trail, so be prepared to pull off to the side when they pass. We also got to see some beautiful horses on the trail!
