Go now, to take part in Larch madness!
This hike was to see the larches and larches only, and we were more than happy to see so many of them right after the Ingalls Pass. Other hikers mentioned that they are gorgeous closer to the lake also, but we didn't go there.
This is a gentle grade trail, so we finished the whole hike in 3.5 hours including breaks and clocked 7.6 miles round trip with a 2200ft elevation gain.
