Great end of season hike on the Chelan Lakeshore Trail. Lady of the Lake ferry dropped us off at Prince Creek at approximately 10:30am on Saturday morning. We were the only two people dropped off at Prince Creek, though the ferry was full and sold out. We hiked 11 miles in some lightly hazy weather to camp at Moore Point. The trail was pretty easy, though the brush is fairly overgrown onto the trail at points. We encountered one baby rattlesnake that stared us down for about 10 minutes before going on it's merry way. This is a very exposed trail, and we got quite warm, even though it was only about 70 degrees. There's not a lot of shade and it's very dusty and dry!

All of the campsites are beautiful and well-maintained. They all have nice composting toilets, bear bins, and some even have shelters. Moore Point was huge, with lots of space to set up tents, and two docks for boats as well. We only saw 7 other people on the trail the entire two days we were out, and all of those others had boated in to various campsites, despite it being a beautiful fall weather weekend!

From Moore point we departed at 8am, and arrived in Stehekin at 11am, covering approximately 7.5 miles with a few stops. We dropped our packs on the ferry dock, and walked to rent bicycles to ride to the infamous Stehekin pastry company, where we loaded up on baked goods for the ferry ride home. Biked back to the ferry by 12pm and loaded on the 12:30pm boat for a tasty ride back to Field's Point. All in all this a great hike!
