Little Mashel Falls - Bud Blancher Trail — Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020

Mount Rainier Area > SW - Longmire/Paradise

First time going on this trail and really enjoyed it.   There were a dozen cars in the lot a d room for at least a dozen more.   We followed the gravel path down into the woods.  The trail was dry and in great condition.   Along the way we encountered twenty or thirty fellow hikers, a couple of dogs, and a horse in a neighboring lot.    After about a mile and a half we turned toward the falls, at this point it got steep, think rattlesnake point like, for a quarter mile and then soon after we were headed back down with the last 100 feet containing stairs.   My partner had one hiking pole and wished she had two.  Most hikers didn't use poles.  If wet, the last section would be slippery.   Overall the hike was just over 4 miles and a perfect day to be outside.
