There were 5 or six cars in the parking area when we started hiking around 10:30 am. My daughter and I had backpacked here two summers ago and wanted to show my son and husband the great scenery on this trail.
The trail was a lot wetter than in August when there wasn’t a drop of water until Hannegan camp. Yesterday there were many creek crossings and water ran on the trail a couple of times but our hiking shoes and boots had enough rubber on the bottom to keep us dry. And so many waterfalls on both sides of the valley!
we enjoyed the dusting of snow on the surrounding peaks and even found some pockets of snow among the blueberry bushes at our turn around point at the camp. 8 miles in the sunshine!

I'll second that! Waterfall and fall colors are also beautiful.
