Great variety of scenery and terrain to hike. Minimal mud. Trailhead parking was full by ~9:30am, but trail didn't feel overly crowded. There is stream/river that requires a careful crossing via a skinny log; however at the crossing point the stream is not deep. One of our hiking crew simply forded across in boots with no difficulty (you will get wet doing this-but very possible to take your boots/socks off and walk through). Was pretty foggy and chilly at the top, so be prepared with layers. Overall a very enjoyable hike with good foliage and views when the clouds lift.
