Hex Mountain — Thursday, Oct. 29, 2020

Snoqualmie Region > Salmon La Sac/Teanaway

Hiked to the top of Hex Mountain yesterday. My first time doing this without snow and it was a bit disappointing. The snow makes this hike beautiful. There are a lot of burned trees that look lovely in the winter. The views of Rainier and Lake Cle Elum were great from the top. I recommend Gaia or some other gps device, since the trail starts on some confusing dirt roads and there are a number go intersections. A good place to park is across from the fire station and walk to the trail head on the road, past the house with the scary dogs. I believe they are fenced in since we heard them, but they didn't attack. Again the trail is not very straight forward, so bring your GPS.
