We hiked in late afternoon on sunday and the parking lot was a bit busy but not full. The hike itself was not crowded and while a bit wet in pretty great condition and offered some really nice views of the water and all the mountains that surround the area.
We started at the trailhead but there is also another parking lot near the start of the loop if you just wanted to do the loop. I would recommend starting at the trail head because the addition 0.2 miles of hike has some really nice views as well.
