This hike was MUDDY. Like, maybe the muddiest hike I've ever hiked. Still worth the trip, just plan on shoes getting covered in mud at least the bottom 2-3 inches in a couple of spots.
The ups and downs made it a lot more tiring than what I estimated for a 400 feet elevation gain, and my personal GPS showed at least double that. Right at the end before the crossing to get to the falls, the stream was running across very high and it was not walkable without completely soaking your feet. The only alternative is crossing carefully on a fallen (read: wet and very slippery) tree over the water. I could see this as a huge challenge for anyone with mobility issues, so just a heads up.
The falls at the end were gorgeous. The walk through the forest was beautiful, and for a 12:30pm Sunday arrival it wasn't all that crowded. Most people were wearing masks and there were plenty of wider trail areas to pass people while distancing.
