Started hiking at 6am and made it back to the trail entry at about 9:15am. The first half or so of the trail is in good condition with some muddy/wet spots so definitely recommend waterproof boots. Just before where the old trail meets the new is where you start to hit consistent snow. There was around a foot or so of new snow so had to post hole my way up. I didn't where microspikes or snowshoes. I believe the trail will be packed pretty good by this afternoon as there were multiple people heading up. Would recommend carrying micro spikes just in case the packed snow gets icy from the boulder field up to the summit. Be safe, have fun. Cheers!

Bobman on Mailbox Peak - Old Trail
Aah, that picture warms my heart. Very busy end of year at work, not looking for a good snow hike/climb.
