Mailbox Peak - Old Trail — Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area

Got up there early to catch the sunrise. Beginning of the trail has a few spots of mud, but nothing too bad to get by. Most of the way up the ground was frozen so I suspect it could be a touch muddy in some areas as it warms up through the day. Noticed the wind at the beginning of the boulder field and then once I got past the first group of trees and pushed for the summit the gusts picked up. They were pretty strong at the top, but still didn't find it to be an issue, just would recommend good gloves and a neck gaiter. Trail was packed pretty good though there was wind blown snow covering the trail towards the top. I would recommend microspikes as well. Be safe. Cheers!
