Trip Report

Mount Teneriffe — Monday, Jan. 18, 2021

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area

Started at the Mt. Si parking lot at 5:30am to catch the sunrise. Here's the route I took: Mt. Si trail > Talus loop > Upper Teneriffe Connector > MT Teneriffe Trail > Teneriffe Falls Connector > Teneriffe Falls Trail > Kamikaze Trail. On the way back down I took the roaring creek trail to connect back to Mt. Si. The Teneriffe falls connector trail was a little hard to follow as it approached the teneriffe trail due to some downed branches. Wouldn't say it's too difficult, just be mindful if you're doing it in the dark. Kamikaze felt similar to Mailbox Peak's old trail with the steep grade. Snow started just before leaving the trees to push towards the summit. There was a packed frozen path and I choose to wear microspikes on the way down. Be mindful at the summit as it's pretty much a drop off on the other side of the snow ridge. Be safe. Cheers!
