I’d driven by Falls View Campground a hundred times without stopping, so I finally decided to check it out. The trails are pretty much as described and you just need to head left (instead of right like I did) after you walk past the locked gate at the roadside parking area. The overlook from above is great if you are looking for a quick 10 minute stop to get out and stretch your legs on a long drive around the Hood Canal. If you have a little more time, descending 200 feet down into the river valley to enjoy the forest trail is well worth the effort of having to climb back up to your car. The trail is clear of obstacles down to the river, but I didn't go past the bridge to check out the trail that follows the river upstream.

I think that waterfall deserves a name. I wonder why the forest service hasn’t named it yet?
