Took our chances on a snowy hike and ended up with Wallace Lake and Jay Lake to ourselves! There was a lot of fresh snow, and we did have to break trail from the start of the Greg Ball trail all the way to Jay Lake. We saw lots of animal prints in the snow: bobcat, rabbit, duck. The mile between Wallace Lake and Jay Lake is particularly magical.
