Mount St. Helens - Worm Flows Route — Friday, Mar. 12, 2021

Got a late start so had to park in lower parking lot as upper was full. Brought snowshoes,crampons and micro spikes. Only needed micro spikes.Advantage of getting a late start is trail has seen plenty of boots so trail was hard packed lower and as long as you followed boot tracks upper slopes were good also. Get off trail though and you start major plunch steps as snow was very soft. Blue skies meant sun was beating down on you. Use plenty of sunscreen. Great views on top. Glissading down was decent most of the time even with the soft snow. Lot of people taking advantage before permit season starts
