Skyline Lake Snowshoe — Saturday, Mar. 27, 2021

Beautiful short & steep snowshoe! Between the lake and the rock garden, the route has many special features and views accessed in only a few miles. I would highly recommend it although note the snow was melting, soft, slushy etc. particularly in the early afternoon with the sun out and warm temps. This is my first year doing winter recreation but I can only imagine the snow is going to get worse and more unstable from here so be careful around the avalanche conditions. That all being said, the route today was obvious and well-packed, snowshoes not strictly required. My husband had rare minimal post holing in trail runners and gaiters.
