Ancient Lakes — Saturday, Apr. 10, 2021

Pro-tip: if you're not familiar with the trail system, bring a map! The Gaia app on my phone saved us from trekking an extra (unnecessary) two miles. We intended to camp out for the night at the Ancient Lakes but got turned around in the system and stayed at Dusty Lake instead. There were only two other camps set up on the lake so it was nice and quiet. However, at night the wind got so gusty that it came up under my (one person) tent and bumped me off my mat! Other than the wind the weather was great and we encountered no snakes. There's a Honey Bucket at the trailhead but none near the lakes.
