Anacortes Community Forest Lands - Whistle Lake — Sunday, Apr. 11, 2021

Puget Sound and Islands > Whidbey Island

Gorgeous day for a hike! Got to the TH around 10am and only one spot was left. When we left, I noticed cars were parked alongside the side for overflow (only one side is allowed, the other side has no parking signs.) There is no bathroom at the TH but closer to the lake there is a vault toilet. It was stocked with plenty of TP when I used it. There are two trails out of the parking lot and we took the one on the right, #201. Went to #21,#204, back to #21, #22, then #205 around the lake. Logged about 5 miles. The weather was nice and sunny but the wind did have a chill, so I suggest to bring layers. The trail was great for the most part. A few spots did have some mud but it wasn't too bad and will probably dry out this week. Love the NW on a sunny day!
