Columbia Hills State Park - Stacker Butte, Columbia Hills State Park - Crawford Oaks — Saturday, Apr. 17, 2021

I set out to see some wildflowers this weekend, and Columbia Hills did not disappoint! I tried to park at the Crawford TH but the car in front of me got the last spot around 9 AM. It’s a tiny lot but there are lots of other trails nearby. Stacker Butte was plan B for my group. It has a beautiful view, but we got a little bored of the road hike so we turned around before the top. There are also less wildflowers the farther up you climb. We finished off with hiking down to the famous car in the Dalles Mtn Ranch area. There were a lot of cars, but it never felt too crowded with how many options there are here. Now is the time to go! No rattlesnake or tick sightings.
