This was admittedly a tough hike to complete early in the season just from the sheer elevation gain in a small amount of trail. However, the view was incredible and you felt okay once a top the mountain. Oddly enough, there were what seemed like hundreds of rotting shrimp heads on the trail head...pretty gross and I’m attractive for animals. The trail was in great condition and no snow to be found. I suggest hiking poles for the way down because the loose gravel on the dirt made for some slippery slopes.
