Climbed the Worm Flows route on 5/2. Beautiful day with clear skies and little to no winds. Started at 3:15AM and summited at 7:45AM. Temps 35F-55F with warm winds coming from the top of the mountain. Icy in the morning, crampons and ice axe strongly recommended. Could only glissade post-10AM once the snow became slushy but had a blast with it coming down. No avalanche signs except some small, old snowboarder/skiier triggered ones but the cornice on the summit is still there and dangerous.

Awesome photos and report! Did you need snowshoes at all?

Hi Leesha, I didn't need snowshoes no. As it gets into the warmer months and the later in the day you trek up the more likely you are to need them though. Someone I met up there said two weeks ago (after a few hot days) it was slush on the way up in the AM just got worse postholing through the day. I'd check the weather leading up to a trip and the weather that day and make a decision to bring them or not. Was surprisingly icy for me in the early AM and sturdy enough to walk on late AM after glissading most of the way down.
