Winter route is in great shape and the glissade was awesome on Lilly’s (pup in the first pic) 13th birthday adventure! Conditions should remain excellent this weekend so get out there!
I used spikes and poles, but the intrepid—including a newbie hiker I met on the trail—can make it with less gear. Note, though, that most others used helmets and ice axes. Travel at your own comfort and risk levels and be snow aware! Also remember to bring rain pants and gloves—or better yet, a large trash bag—for a faster, drier, and more exciting glissade 😃
Irie!

Thanks for the report! Was access to the TH good? Assuming you went from the lower TH?

Yes, we went from the Lower TH and all good. Others reported no snow all of the way to the Upper TH and several parties began from there.

It was great to meet you, Loki, and Lilly on the top! Glad we didn't have to rescue the Newby too! Even better, it was a perfect glissade down!!!
