The Umtanum recreation site will be closed from February through end of July 2021 for bridge repairs and parking lot/access road improvements. There will be no public access into the site, or across the footbridge during this time. We apologize for the inconvenience.

The bridge is now reopened according to this article on WTA 6/10/21:
Umtanum bridge reopened: Hikers can once again return to Umtanum Creek Canyon. After extensive repairs to the Umtanum bridge over the Yakima River, this popular recreation area has reopened.
