Trip Report

Beckler Peak — Sunday, Jul. 4, 2021

Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - West

Wow the views at the top are beautiful - pictures don’t do it justice. Every direction you look from the top is a gorgeous Mountain View. Arrived at the trailhead at 7:30 to three other cars in the lot. The snowfields are still there near the top, but they were easy to navigate - poles were nice though. The snow was nice and hard on the way up, starting to melt a little on the way down. A deer walked right in front of us on the trail - didn’t seem to be very afraid of people.

Took us just over two hours to reach the top with a few short water and picture breaks. We passed quite a few people coming down, and at noon when we arrived back the trailhead was full and a few cars were parked down the road. A white sedan was partially blocking the road - don’t be that person.

Couple other notes - bathroom was still closed. Saw a sigh about a mile from the top for a backcountry toilet but didn’t go check it out.  There were some wildflowers blooming - I don’t know the names of any though, see pics.

Those wildflowers are heather (second pic), lupine (third pic), and tiger lily (last pic). Glad you had a good hike!
