Olympic Discovery Trail — Saturday, May. 9, 2020

Olympic Peninsula > Northern Coast
Olympic Discovery Trail by P. Van

This was my first time on the ODT. Started at the very beginning in Port Townsend. I felt a little lost driving through the boat yard, but the trail is clearly marked once you hit the beach. Thrilled to find porta potties with either hand sanitizer or hand wash stations along the trail and at the marina. The trail is amazing condition and wide enough to keep a distance from others. Only walked 3 miles in then turned around. Wanted to be done before it hit hot and crowded. Saw deer, bunnies, and various birds. I’m now eager to explore each section of this 100+ mile trail.
