I thought I was in decent shape, but this one kicked my butt. Views are worth it though. We left our dog at home, as she’s getting a bit older and I think this one would have been a bit much for her. Our friend brought his (younger) dog and he did fine but needed a few breaks.
No water on the trail, make sure you bring enough for you and your pets. Saw a few people who did not look prepared enough for this hike
Found the trail to be surprisingly not too busy for a sunny Sunday. TH was probably a little over 1/2 full at 7:45, but that’s for both Dickerman and Perry Creek. Full trailhead with a few extra cars when we came back down. Apparently everyone was at 22 - there were way too many people parked partially in the road - came around a curve on Mountain Loop Highway to find cars in the road 😡
