Beautiful day!!! Hiked a ways past lower Lena, up the trail towards the Brothers. Noted fire, (apparently caused by careless campers) on way down. Park Services notified via SOS on Garmin inReach. Helicopters were in the air and passed park personnel heading up the trail with axes and shovels by the time we were halfway to the trailhead. Great response and THANK YOU NPS and Garmin!

We noticed the helicopters while we were hiking out from Upper Lena Lake yesterday. Thank you for reporting the fire, and a HUGE thumbs-down to the campers who flouted the burn ban.
