Trailhead was almost full at 1:30pm. Nice that there is a restroom at the trailhead. The trail was cleared marked except for the section near Fletcher Canyon where there are multiple connected turns. Encountered about 5 downed tree on the trail. One of them is larger and takes a few moves to get around it.
While the trail is to certain extent clearly marked, the trail is very rocky so it can take longer to go up and down. Trekking poles recommended when going downhill. The top has a 360-degree clear view which allows you to experiencing the surrounding mountains. Also saw a lot of berries along the trail.
Birds saw or heard on the trail:
- Chestnut-backed Chickadee (a group of at least 10).
- Northern Flicker.
- Steller's Jay
- Pine Siskin (in a group of at least 8 birds).
