Quick walk around the Discovery Park loop and beach roughly counter clockwise Sunday morning. We parked at the Hiram Chittenden Locks and walked over on W Commodore then used the super secret pedestrian bridge over the railroad tracks on the way back. Parking at the Locks is a pay lot except for Sundays and holidays currently. Restrooms at both the park and the locks are open and maintained with an additional sanican down at the beach. Trails are in average condition - there has been some work done on the upper sections of the bluff trails recently but everything else still dates from the late 70s though nothing currently closed or blocking.
Lots of wildlife out this morning, the spunky little Osprey that has been keeping eagles away from the locks, an older baldie hanging out on the instrument tower at the lighthouse, kingfishers diving for breakfast, herons, dozen of fat salmon at the ladder viewing area in the locks with hundreds more you can see queued up below in the bay. Nice views of the snow free olympics. Lots of marine traffic in puget sound. A beautiful morning.

Love the osprey picture and your pic of the cranes/bridge and Rainier hovering over it all
