Eightmile Lake — Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021

Gorgeous alternative to Colchuck, went up for some fishing and relaxing by the water. Trail was definitely crowded by midday so I’d recommend starting at the trailhead by 9AM at the latest. The trail itself is well maintained and has access to Caroline lake for some overnight stays if solitude is your goal, or enjoy the 360 views of Eightmile either as a day hike or an overnight. All in all, I’d recommend this trail to anyone who wants to beat the Colchuck crowds or to Caroline Lake for some overnight adventures!
