Foster and Marsh Island Loop, 520 Trail — Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021

Went over the 520 bridge this afternoon with my 14 year old son on bikes. We also  went on over to Husky Stadium. Montlake Bridge is close to vehicle traffic until Saturday, but is open to pedestrians and bicyclists. On the way back we decided to check out the Foster and Marsh Island Loop. We went clockwise and walked our bikes most of the way , as we were unsure if bikes were even allowed. We did not see any signs stating that is was not OK.  Trail was super wide, dry, and well maintained. I assume in the winter this trail can get muddy. The boardwalks and bridges were fun and we got a nice view of Portage Bay and the stadium, along with some cool cloud formations. We then rode back across the lake to my car parked over at a park in Hunts Point. Our trip was nearly 11 miles with only about 3/4 of a mile being on foot.
