Got to the trail around 9am and found a mostly full parking lot (to be expected with this popular hike). The trail itself was fairly wet. Definitely recommend some waterproof boots (trail runners were a bad choice) between the water and the rocks on the trail for about the last mile or so. It was beautiful to see the lake in the fall. Last time we hiked it was early spring and the trail around the lake was almost impossible to navigate due to snow. Highly recommend making your way around the lake if possible.
