Jolly Mountain — Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021

Took the short route up forest road 4315 which was in good condition. Gate was open, but I heard that at some point, they close it. We were the only cars when we started but by the time we returned to our cars, there were 4 other cars parked. I was a little surprised since I did not expect many people would venture out this far. Met some nice people on our way back from the summit. Weather was colder than usual and there was dense cloud cover all around above 5500 feet like a blanket sitting on top. Missed out on the views, although Mt Stuart did peek through for a few minutes. Light snow flurries at the top. Expect there will be more snow at the top next week.
