I took an afternoon walk in Cowiche Canyon from the west end on this mostly cloudy, showery day.  I walked a ways up the Lone Pine Trail to get a view of the canyon, then walked out to bridge 4 & back.  As you can see from Bob & Barb's photos from yesterday & those here, the canyon is at its peak right now.  It should be good for a week or so.

Cowiche Canyon

And I thought I might see you when I was there on Fri. Hope you are having a good trip. You sure have hit the colors at their peak over here. And I don't know about you, but I like them best in this nice diffuse light we're having. If you're staying past today, I hope you don't get too wet.

Bob and Barb on Cowiche Canyon

Bob said to tell you that we are "Wetsiders" so we are used to the rain! :)! You are blessed to live here with so many nice hikes in your own backyard and we are blessed to have a trailer so we can have them in our backyard for awhile! We, too, like the diffuse lighting and feel fortunate to be here with the peak color!
