I took a little different route on this hike as I did not start on Elbow Coulee, but started off of Frost Road. To get there, take the Twisp River Road for about 2.8 miles, then take a right onto Frost Road. At 1.4 miles you come to a lake. You can park here, or a 0.1 mile before there. There is some parking for maybe 10 cars.
I followed a trail for a bit, before it turned into an overgrown road, then had to cross a drainage, and then cross country up to a couple of high points. The views up here were fantastic. Great views of the Chelan Sawtooths, all with new snow. It was cool to see Bigelow, Martin, and Switchback. Peaks that I was on earlier this month, now snow covered. I got to the high point, Peak 3578, which is on a list of Washington State peaks with 1000 ft prominence, #626. Way down the list, but a fun little summit with big views!!
I tried another route down, and found an old road that put me out on the road, right at the lake on Frost Road.
Would recommend this hike, if in the Twisp area if you have a little time to spare.
