Road 27-010 (unmarked) lived up to prior reports - tight, deep potholes, wet and slow going. But, we got solitude! No other cars at trailhead & no other hikers on trail. It was chilly in the shady forest but the relentless uphill start warmed us. The footlog below Mosquito Rock was frosty & slippery, and we have done Bark Shanty Camp before, so turned around for a 7 mile roundtrip hike.
