Ebey's Landing — Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021

Puget Sound and Islands > Whidbey Island
View from the Bluff Trail

We arrived at the parking lot on Cemetery Road around 8am and were the first car in the lot.  The wind was high and cold but not raining.  We reached the junction of the trail and the cliff and took a peek at the tide before heading out along the bluff trail.  The water was high and tide was heading in so we decided to just walk out along the bluff and return the same way.  On the way  out, we had beautiful views of the snow-capped Olympics framed with light and dark drifting clouds.   On the way back, it started to rain, and with the wind, the drops felt like needles on our faces.  The views of the mountains quickly clouded over and we, in turn, quickly made our way back to our car.  We saw no one on the way out and a handful of runners and hikers on the way back.  Beautiful hike!
