After the recent heavy rains I decided to visit some waterfalls on the Skykomish River. First stop was a Hwy 2 roadside view of Bridal Veil Falls. There is a pull out a short distance beyond the expresso stand east of the turnoff for the town of Index. Pics were taken with a 150mm zoom. Excellent flow but probably missed the peak flow by several hours.
Next stop was Eagle Falls. This was a mile further up Hwy 2. There is a short trail that takes you to the bottom of the falls. This unmarked trail is right next to the 2nd turnout marked for Emergency Vehicles only.
3rd stop was Sunset Falls. This is the biggest of the falls in this area. Unfortunately to get a view of them requires walking 1 mile down a gated road that is marked no trespassing. This road starts as the common road for the Lake Serene trail then branches off to the left just before the Serene parking area.

eagle falls has bee trashed for a while now. Too many partyers and direspectful idiots leaving beer cans and trash etc

In most cases when you see a no trespassing sign on a road it actually refers to the properties adjacent to the road. The roads in most cases are public property and not off limits. After the fact I did some more research and came to find out that the road is indeed completely private and the no trespassing signs are legit. I cannot recommend trying to visit these falls.

I hiked that road last summer to sunset falls only to havee the security guy chase me out. nice guy but I had samw thought it would be public road - guess not. lol
