The trail is muddy and slushy at times, but nothing waterproof hiking boots can’t handle. My 7 & 4 year old hiked up with no problem. Closer to the lookout a small portion is very icy (I included a picture but I swear it looked more challenging then the sludge shown) and I forgot my hiking sticks so crawling worked fine. The trees were beautifully covered with snow but once the sun came out the ice started to come down on the trail and ouch! But it didn’t hurt bad enough for me to stop and get my beanie from my backpack so I just dealt with it.

Wow that's a lot of snow! Seems like it was clear enough for y'all to catch some great views.
