Rocky Brook Falls — Saturday, Jul. 31, 2021

Olympic Peninsula > Hood Canal
Rocks to lounge or climb on surround bottom of the falls

I didn't want to let my sore ankle ruin our family's planned day of hiking, so we took a road trip and stopped at a few short but scenic hikes. This was our 2nd stop of the day, but it was still cool and only sort-of crowded before noon. It was a little confusing about where to go, but we followed the sound of the falls and made it.

Our teenagers really enjoyed climbing around the pool on the downed trees and rocks. I lounged about on rocks and offered to take photos for people with the falls in the background. The hike is short, but we spent about 45 minutes here just playing and relaxing. This was an enjoyable stop with our teens.

The falls were small enough you could take a dip if it was warm enough. (It wasn't.)
