Margaret's Way and Debbie's View — Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022

Issaquah Alps > Squak Mountain
View of Mt. Rainier

I hiked this today with a friend and had a great time! The trail was pretty clear and in good condition. We didn't spot any snow. There were a few places you have to step over little rivulets of water, but nothing impassable. The view from Debbie's View was amazing - a sea of clouds and a very clear shot of Mt. Rainier over the trees. There was intermittent patches of fog that had a lovely ethereal quality and then sunshine broke through at times. Plenty of hikers on the trail, a few kids, a few dogs mostly leashed, and folks were friendly and gracious for the trail runners coming through. Parking was a little tight at 11 ish when we arrived, so be aware that this trail can get busy. According to my Fitbit, I climbed nearly 185 flights of stairs with this trail and over 20,000 steps, so it was a great workout for me. All in all, very enjoyable and I plan to try this again in the near future.
